STL Mesh

Terms of Use

The rules for using the free tools on STL Mesh.

These Terms of Use govern your access to STL Mesh at https://stlmesh.com. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the tools.

Free tools, provided as is

STL Mesh provides a free in-browser viewer and converters for STL, GLB, 3MF, and OBJ. The tools are provided as-is and as available, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free, that every file will open, or that conversion output will be accepted by any particular slicer, CAD program, printer, or marketplace. Browser differences, WebGL support, and the contents of the source file all affect the result.

Verify conversion output before production use

Conversion on this site re-encodes geometry locally. Triangle data is preserved; the tools do not remesh, repair holes, fix non-manifold edges, generate supports, or certify that a part is printable. Formats also drop what they cannot store. Exporting to STL discards color, materials, textures, units, object names, and print settings.

You are responsible for opening the result in your own software and checking dimensions, normals, watertightness, and printability before any commercial or production use — including selling a print, sending a part to a client, or starting a machine. An export from this site is not a substitute for your own quality checks.

You keep all rights to your models

You retain every intellectual-property right in files you open or convert here. We never receive those files. They are processed only in your browser and are never uploaded. We claim no license in your geometry, and we do not host, index, train on, or redistribute your models.

Acceptable use

Use the site only for lawful purposes. You may not attempt to attack, probe, overload, or otherwise interfere with the site or the infrastructure that serves it. You may not attempt to introduce malware or to circumvent technical limits. The converters run in your browser; attacking the site means attacking our servers, DNS, or the static assets we publish — not running the tools on your own files.

The service may change or stop

We may add, change, or remove tools, pages, or behavior at any time, with or without notice. We may discontinue the site. We are not obligated to keep a particular converter available or to preserve a particular export result across versions.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, STL Mesh and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or business, arising out of your use of the site or of files produced by it, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Because the tools are free, our total liability for any claim relating to the site is limited to the amount you paid us to use it, which is zero, except where a statute does not allow that limitation.
